Vicks VapoRub

Vicks VapoRub is a medicated ointment. It contains camphor, menthol, and eucalyptus oil. These ingredients help relieve cold symptoms. It soothes coughs and clears congestion. The ointment eases sore muscles. It reduces minor aches. You can apply it on the chest or throat. The warmth provides comfort. It works when you inhale the vapours. It brings relief during colds.

Usage Information

Uses:

Relieves cold, cough, sore throat, and chest congestion.

Do Not Use If:

• Allergic to any ingredient.
• The child is under 2 years.
• Skin is broken or injured.
• The child has pneumonia.
• For inhalation in children under 8.

Safety Tips:

• Use only on skin or for inhalation.
• Do not eat or put inside the nose/mouth.
• Pregnant or breastfeeding? Ask a doctor.
• Keep away from eyes.
• Store at room temperature
• Warning: Never microwave or reuse the mixture.

How to Apply:

• On Skin: Rub on chest, neck, or back 2–4 times daily.
• Adults & 12+ years: 2–3 teaspoons.
• Children 2–8+ years: 1–2 teaspoons (avoid face).

For Inhalation:

• Add 1–2 teaspoons to hot water (not boiling).
• Breathe in steam for 10–15 mins.
• Children under 6: Do not use.
