Sona Pata

Senna leaf or Sona Pata is a herbal remedy that helps clear stool. Many people in Bangladesh use Sona Pata as Ayurveda medicine. You can use it as a morning tea for regular bowel movement. 

About the Plant

Senna leaf grows in warm places in many Asian and African countries. It also grows in India and Bangladesh in dry and sunny areas. The plant grows well in soil that stays dry.

The plant has small green leaves that grow in pairs on each side of the stem. The plant shows small yellow flowers when it grows well. The leaves stay thin and flat and have a smooth surface. The plant grows as a small bush and spreads wide on the ground.

Drinking Method

• Preparation: Soak the Senna leaves in a glass of hot (boiled) water and let it brew like tea.
• Dosage: Do not consume more than 20–40 mg per day.
• Timing: Drink it at night before going to bed.
• Action Time: Effects may take 5–6 hours to occur, so plan accordingly.
• After Drinking: Stay near a lavatory, as it may act quickly once it starts working.
• Frequency: Use only up to two days per week to avoid overuse.

সোনা পাতা খাওয়ার নিয়ম

• প্রস্তুতি: সোনা পাতা গরম (ফোটানো) পানিতে ভিজিয়ে চায়ের মতো তৈরি করুন।
• মাত্রা: দিনে ২০–৪০ মিলিগ্রামের বেশি ব্যবহার করবেন না।
• খাওয়ার সময়: রাতের ঘুমের আগে পান করুন।
• প্রভাব দেখাতে সময়: প্রায় ৫–৬ ঘণ্টা সময় লাগতে পারে।
• খাওয়ার পর: কার্যক্রম শুরু হলে দ্রুত প্রভাব দেখাবে, তাই নিকটবর্তী ল্যাভাটরির কাছে থাকাই ভালো।
• ফ্রিকোয়েন্সি: সপ্তাহে সর্বোচ্চ দুই দিন ব্যবহার করুন, অতিরিক্ত ব্যবহার এড়াতে।
