Earl Grey Tea

This tea is made from black leaves. This loose-leaf tea is expertly blended with the citrus fruit flavour of bergamot. The result is an uplifting tea with a unique floral aroma and refreshing taste.

History

Earl Grey tea is named after Charles Grey, the 2nd Earl Grey, a British Prime Minister in the 1830s. According to legend, Twinings created the blend for him after he received a tea flavoured with bergamot as a diplomatic gift. Twinings, a British tea brand established in 1706, is credited with popularizing Earl Grey tea.
